 About Fields Research

Fields Research was a recipient of the “Best of Cincinnati” Award for Market Analysis or Research. We are a second-generation, family owned and operated data collection company specializing in health care patient experience research. We were established by Donna J. Fields in 1973 - making us one of the longest standing data collection firms in the United States with over 40 years’ experience conducting surveys.

We are committed to providing clients with integrity, service, technological depth, and a commitment to leading-edge research. Our defining strength is an invaluable grasp of the information technologies behind research, allowing us to conduct quality surveys efficiently and affordably. We are currently helping over 600 agencies comply with CAHPS survey requirements – let us help you.

 Our Purpose

CAHPS Surveys seek to evaluate patient experience in order to inform consumers, improve quality of care, and increase accountability of healthcare providers. Many CAHPS surveys are required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as part of a public reporting initiative.

As an approved CAHPS vendor, our goal at Fields Research is to provide agencies with the most straightforward, dependable, and affordable means of complying with CMS requirements for CAHPS surveying.

 Simple, Never Simplistic

Fields Research guarantees the data collection, xml submission, and reporting requirements necessary to ensure all vendor compliance requirements with CAHPS surveys have been met. We also offer full access to actionable data reports online through our proprietary software with the ability to view current and past tabulation with benchmarking, trending averages of month, and raw data export of individual responses that can be easily downloaded for off-line viewing and analysis.

All this for a simple, flat fee per month and a small one-time setup fee.

  Ahead of the Curve

In 2010 CMS created the Group Practice Reporting Option (GPRO), available to groups of 25 or more eligible professionals (EPs) who wish to supplement their Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) reports with CAHPS Clinician & Group (CG-CAHPS) Survey data. Medical practices with over 100 eligible professionals participating in the PQRS through the GPRO web interface are now required to participate in CG-CAHPS while practices with 25-100 eligible professionals may begin voluntary participation in 2015.

We encourage even those clinics and group practices not yet required to participate to take the initiative and begin early implementation of CG-CAHPS. CMS is likely to require CG-CAHPS surveying for all clinicians and groups in the near future and preparing now can help your practice hone its strategies for improving performance before implementation.
