FieldsResearch was a recipient of the “Best of Cincinnati” Award for Market Analysis or Research. We are a second-generation, family owned and operated data collection company specializing in patient healthcare experience research. We were established by Donna J. Fields in 1973 - making us one of the longest standing data collection firms in the United States with over 40 years’ experience conducting surveys.
At FieldsResearch, we specialize in data collection and our decades of research experience allows us to conduct CAHPS surveys simply and affordably. Rather than forcing agencies to pay for extra layers of personnel and additional metrics irrelevant to CMS compliance, our process and price are simple and straightforward. We are currently helping over 600 agencies comply with CAHPS survey requirements – let us help you.
CAHPS Surveys seek to evaluate a patient's experience for the purpose of informing consumers, improve the quality of care, and increase accountability of healthcare providers. Many CAHPS surveys are required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as part of a public reporting initiative.
As an approved CAHPS vendor, our goal at FieldsResearch is to provide agencies with the most straightforward, honest, dependable, and affordable means of complying with the CMS CAHPS requirements.
We make the CAHPS simple and affordable. More of what you need, less of what you don't. Some vendors take a bells and whistles approach to CAHPS surveying, making it unnecessarily complicated and expensive.
FieldsResearch guarantees your agency's CAHPS compliance by collecting the data and submitting the XML files. We also offer full access to actionable data reports online through our proprietary software. You will have the ability to view current and past tabulation with benchmarking, trending averages by month, pie charts, patient comments, and raw data export of individual responses that can be downloaded quickly for later viewing and analysis. All this for a simple, flat fee per month and a small one-time setup fee.
Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery CAHPS (OAS-CAHPS)
The Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery Patient Experience of Care Survey (OAS-CAHPS) is about patients’ experiences of care in hospital outpatient surgery departments (HOPDs) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).
In January 2016, CMS began voluntary monthly data collection using the OAS-CAHPS survey. CMS will publicly report the data collected from July 2016 through June 2017. Facilities will be able to suppress their data from public reporting during the preview report period in 2017. CMS has proposed mandatory OAS-CAHPS participation in January 2018.
We encourage hospital outpatient surgery departments (HOPDs) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) to take advantage of early data collection and begin with voluntary OAS CAHPS implementation as soon as possible to allow time to gain experience with the OAS-CAHPS questions before mandatory participation.
